Who we are

Local Roofing Help is a national lead-matching service for residential roofing. When you need a new roof, a repair, a storm inspection, or new gutters, we route your project to a short list of vetted local contractors in your area.

You pick who you want to work with. We don't bid the job. We don't own trucks. We don't send a salesperson to your driveway.

The roofing industry has a transparency problem. Quotes for the same project can vary by tens of thousands of dollars. High-pressure sales tactics are common. Homeowners often have no way to confirm the person knocking on their door is licensed and insured.

We built Local Roofing Help to fix that. We do the vetting up front. You get a tight shortlist of qualified pros and the time to choose.

We launched in 2026. We cover the contiguous United States. The contractor network keeps growing as we onboard partners that meet our standards.

How we vet contractors

Every contractor in our network passes the same review before we route a single homeowner to them. Contractors can't buy their way in.

• License verification

  We confirm the contractor holds a current, in-good-standing license in their state. License rules vary. Some states require a roofing or general contractor license. Others delegate to municipalities. We check the right registry for each one. A lapsed, suspended, or complaint-flagged license gets the contractor removed.

• Insurance proof

  We require an active general-liability policy and active workers' compensation coverage where the state mandates it. We collect a current certificate of insurance and re-verify on the policy anniversary. Uninsured or underinsured contractors put homeowners on the hook if a worker gets hurt. We won't route to one.

• Background check

  We run a background check on the principal owner of every contractor business that joins. We look for contractor-fraud convictions, patterns of judgments or liens, and consumer-protection actions. Unrelated personal history is not our business. Confirming the contractor is safe to send to your house is.

• BBB rating where applicable

  Where the contractor has a Better Business Bureau profile, we check it. A non-accredited contractor isn't automatically out (many excellent local crews skip BBB). But a pattern of unresolved BBB complaints disqualifies them.

How the matching works

1. You drop your ZIP and a few project details (work type, urgency, contact info). The form takes under a minute.
2. We route your project to up to 3 to 5 vetted local roofers whose licensure, insurance, and review history fit your job.
3. They reach out to schedule an on-site visit and prepare a written estimate. Quotes come from them, not from us.
4. You compare estimates, ask the questions that matter, and hire whoever you want. You're never obligated to pick anyone we send.

Who we are not

Local Roofing Help is a referral and matching service. We are not a roofing contractor. We don't employ roofers, own equipment, pull permits, or do any actual roofing work. The work and the quotes come from licensed local pros in our network. Your contract is with that contractor.

That distinction matters. You should still verify license and insurance directly with the contractor we send, read the contract carefully, and treat the relationship like any other you start yourself. We do the screening. Your due-diligence still applies.
